Douglas D. Fraser, MD, PhD, FRCPC, is a Professor and Clinician Scientist at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, where he holds the GSK Chair in Clinical Pharmacology. He directs the Translational Research Centre and practices as a pediatric critical care and trauma physician at London Health Sciences Centre. After completing his MD/PhD at the University of Calgary, followed by residency and fellowship training in pediatrics and critical care medicine, Dr. Fraser built a distinguished research program spanning plasma proteomics and metabolomics, with studies in sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, traumatic brain injury, and AI-driven drug repurposing. His work has resulted in over 190 peer-reviewed publications, an h-index of 51, and more than $20 million in peer-reviewed funding from agencies including CIHR, the Schmidt Family Foundation/Google AI, and EU Horizon. He holds thirteen patents and has co-founded two biotechnology companies, NeuroLytixs Inc. and Repurpose X Inc. He is currently Principal Investigator of LC-REVITALIZE, a precision medicine-driven Phase III clinical drug trial spanning four continents. Recognized as Researcher of the Year at Schulich (2023) and Scientist of the Year at Lawson Health Research Institute (2022), Dr. Fraser is widely regarded as a leader in translational critical care research and precision medicine.
